There are lots of rewards on offer for tracking your active and sustainable travel with the BetterPoints app.
Sign Up and Get Started
Earn 250 points just for downloading the app and taking our short baseline survey. This will unlock your rewards. Remember to register using your @cardiff.ac.uk email address.
Active & Sustainable Travel
Earn 10 BetterPoints by walking, wheeling, cycling, running, or taking the bus or train, to or from a Cardiff University site. You can earn this reward up to two times a day for journeys of 1/2 mile or more.
Daily Prize Draw - Win 500 BetterPoints
Earn 1 BetterTicket into the draw for your active or sustainable journey to or from a Cardiff University site. You can earn this reward up to four times a day for journeys of 1/2 mile or more.
Every day we are giving away 500 BetterPoints.
Working or studying from home? Earn an extra 1 BetterTicket up to four times a day by breaking up the day with a walk, wheel, run or cycle.
Grand Prize Draw - Win Cardiff University Sport membership
Earn 1 BetterTicket by completing 50 active or sustainable travel journeys from the start of enrolment week through to the Christmas recess.
We'll be giving away 2 x Cardiff University Sport gym memberships, valid until the end of the academic year.
Cardiff Sustainable Travel Star - Win 2,500 BetterPoints
Share your active and sustainable travel story by completing our short survey. If selected, you will be rewarded with 2,500 BetterPoints and your story shared in the app and by the University.

What can I do with my rewards?
Spend
The BetterPoints you earn can be turned into £££s to spend on campus or redeemed for high street vouchers. Visit the 'redeem' tab in the app to see what is currently available.
Donate
Alternatively, you can donate your points to charitable causes, including to support the University's biodiversity work.
